The Salon de la Lingerie 2010 is associated to the organisation Designing Hope which works to help african women living with aids. The concept is to create a link from fashion designers, who design hope, and african women, who create decoration products from the draws.
Fifteen well known lingerie brands have participated to this partnership and theirs designs became hand-made brodery lamps which were exposed during the Salon. This lamps will be sold this spring on internet at ithemba and next december at the BHV store in Paris. Price will be really affordable (from 40 to 80 euros); it pays the work of the african women of course and it helps also to finance the association.

So for a few money you can participate to a charitable action and in the same time claim in your lounge (or in your bedroom) your taste for beautiful lingerie!
Personnaly I particularly love the Ritratti's lamp but I will buy the Aubade one for it sense of humour

A good, a pleasant, an excellent news was in the last newsletter from Ritratti: the launching of their official webstore!
But what a deception to see that it is only dedicated to their Sensation range, and particularly to the Star-Cup, and then I won't find here their marvellous and so sexy Milano lingerie...
I have now just to hope that a Cazar and Mio Destino continue to propose a part of their so attractive collections.

It's definitely the year of the webdesign in Italy: after Parah and Ritratti it's now Christies which launches a new website.
About the website I'm not completely agree with their choices: I'm not fan of moving presentation and I prefer have a look on a large (and fix) picture to admire the lingerie...
But regarding the (many) collections of lingerie and beachwear, I have no effort to do to appreciate!

The summer collections

The new design of the corporate website of Ritratti offers a better presentation of the collection, with always the possibility to download the catalogs as pdf.
The summer collection is, as each year, less excentric than the winter one's: more discreet and with an identity to search in details. But when you look at the details it's an amazement: laces, chiffons and ribbons come with delicacy to add the Couture touch at this garments, each one becoming unique through it beautiful last coating...
I'm fan of Ritratti since a long time but that story seems just starting!

After Ritratti and it Star Cup last year, Marlies Dekkers has been awarded Creator of the Year 2008 at the occasion of the Salon de la Lingerie. She was handed the Trophy on behalf of the mayor of Paris during a ceremony at the Musee d'Art Moderne de Paris. An award which comes after many others and 15 years of existence for her brand Undressed.
The occasion for us to discover her new collections, and particularly her Valentine serie, and to hope that she will relaunch her Nightdressed range which was full of promises...

Just a quick note with the first good news from the Salon de la Lingerie:
Guia la Bruna (website) will proposes next winter a new range called GuiaLab, more affordable than it "luxe" collections but absolutely gorgeous as well. The beautiful Ritratti lingerie (website) should finally be soon available online (read the blog and you will be the first informed!) Elise Anderegg (website), which has presented here dramatically tempting collections for the next winter, confirms us that she will really soon opens her webshop. Aubade (website) announce La Petite Tricheuse (the little cheater): a brief which will make some jealous (I will come back about that). French CanCan (website) enlarge it collections and starts to design some complete lingerie sets, and hopes to launch their own webstore next september.
Discoveries of the salon (and other catwalks pictures) are of course to read on Petite-Coquette in the next few days!

Just back from the Salon de la Lingerie de Paris, let's start with the more attractive for a coquette as me: the Ultra Lingerie Catwalk! It's the occasion for designers to create Haute Couture lingerie pieces, far of any constraints and letting free their imagination.
Theme of this year was Ultra Modernity and the catwalk was closed by a trophy ceremony about which I will talk you soon, as about the so informal Petite Coquette Prize, on which I keep the suspens...

It seems indeed that Ritratti is one the few last dinosaurs who refuses to sell online... Why? When wee see the quality ofered by some online stores, and more when we see some luxurious and prestigious brands which sells themselves their collections, we think that the old time when online distribution was considered as negative for a brand is so far now.. So we will ask them the question (and try to make them change their point of view ) on the next Salon de la Lingerie de Paris...

It's under the rascal eyes and the bikini (scandalous for this times!) of Brigitte Bardot than we start our little round-up of swimwuits for this summer. So we will begin with the retro tendancy, between Saint-Tropez beach in the 60's and the Pin-Up from Cannes film festival...

The queen of the retro style, even the names of it collections La Vedette or La Pin-Up, is Deborah Fleming, designer of Pistol Panties. There is in it swimwear all the glamour and the nostalgic charm of this times romantics and lights...

Seen at Cazar this swimsuit signed by Aubade and which, even if it remind more Hollywood than the Côte d'Azur, is really inspired by this years in black & white.

He has played with it ultra-balconnet bra, the famous Star-Cup, to make with it all a lingerie range: from bustier to chemise passing through some minimalist tops... It result a collection in the same time very sweet and dramatically sexy! I love so much!
